I've tried maybe a total of 15 games on it (Sonic 2, Road Rash 2, Gunstar Heroes, Contra: Hard Corps, just to name a few) and they all ran fine. Android is the way to go for the GBA THPS series.įor Genesis emulation, I honestly haven't found any issues with Genesis Plus GX on Vita. TempGBA is sometimes the better choice for certain titles like THPS series (although still not great). I keep the sluggish titles in TempGBA (Adrenaline). I use VBA Next (RetroArch) for most of my GBA library. The Vita, just like SNES, is a hit & miss. Very helpful.įor GBA emulation, again, Android phone would do wonders.

Star Fox isn't full speed on Vita no matter what emulator you use, but on Android you can actually overclock the SNES' CPU to make Star Fox run better than it does on real hardware. I use 2010 on my Shield TV without a hitch. Recent Android phones should handle SNES9X 2010 like a piece of cake. The non-plus version is faster, but certain games may break or lose their audio after a few minutes of play. A few games have some slowdown & choppy audio tho, but most of the games I've tried work pretty well, especially with a slight boost in CPU via LOLIcon. SNES9X 2005 Plus works well for the most part.

The Vita is good overall, but it's nowhere near the best system for emulation speed & accuracy.įor SNES emulation on Vita, you have to switch between different versions of SNES9X (RetroArch) to get the best experience out of certain titles. A recent Android smartphone seems to be your best option.
